32 Teams in 30-Some Days - Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins

"The girlies on standby waving just to say hi
Did you stop no I just drove by
Kept on pursuing to the next stop
I busted a left and I'm heading to the next block
The block was dead
Yo so I continued to A1A Beachfront Avenue"

When the haze settles, the smoke clears and everybody comes down a bit after the Dolphins' last season - people are going to realize that this Miami team is not really all that bad. There will be no repeat of the 1-15 disaster last year.

And that's right folks - America's favorite ganja aficionado is back in the NFL full time after an extended hiatus. Rickie Williams will be the starting running back for the Dolphins this season. Light 'em up!

And after strong starts to their careers, how are college teammates Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams doing now? Yikes - hope you guys studied hard.

Chad Pennington's noodle-arm will be lofting the ball up into the sky for Miami this year - but even that is a distinct upgrade over whatever it was they had last year. But Pennington used to play for the man upstairs, the Big Tuna, so he should have a level of comfort already - after only being with the team for less than a month.

Defence will be a huge question mark for Miami. With the departure of Jason Taylor and Zack Thomas, I can only name one player on their defence - and it's Joey Porter, so good luck with that.

I, for one, will interested to see if #1 overall pick Jake Long plays as well as Joe Thomas did last year, when he was the #3 overall pick.

The Verdict
Better, probably a lot better - but sadly for them that only means 4 or 5 wins, maybe even 6. And they get to look forward to New England laying a thrashing on them twice this year.
