32 Teams in 30-Some Days - Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs

"Dire times call for dire faces
So lowly dancer call and answer
Trade our places in the night
We're running barefoot you and I
Dead lovers salivate
Broken hearts tessellate...tonight"

I will admit that I'm through the looking glass a little bit on this one. Kansas City has already played their first game - and they're now the most popular team in the world because they injured Tom Brady, who will hopefully never play another game... ever.

The first game notwithstanding, the Chiefs were not going to be very good this year and they're off to a good start at 0-1.

The Chiefs almost have the youngest team in the league and they're in full rebuilding mode. Which is fine, but they need to be really committed to it - I'm talking about throwing every game so are guaranteed the first pick in next year's draft.

They do have some talent rookie in Brandon Albert, Brandon Flowers and Glenn Dorsey. But what they Chiefs really need is a quarterback who's name is not Brodie. And maybe some more help on the offensive line - that would be nice.

The Verdict
Growing pains and plenty of them. But at least it looks like they're heading in the right direction. What needs to happen now is a new head coach and general manager. DANG - they came so close to shocking the world. DANG DANG DANG. Oh well, at least they didn't lose by 40.
